When Preston County schools are closed due to inclement weather, Buckwheat Express Services are cancelled, too. Riders age 60 and older ride free on regularly scheduled routes. Present your picture identification showing your age.

Schedules & MapsOffice hours are from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Buckwheat Express operates flexible transportation services that can meet your transportation needs. Buckwheat Express will pick you up or drop you off anywhere along our routes of travel, even if those locations are not listed on the schedule. Buckwheat Express also provides what is called “route-deviated” service. If you want to travel to or from a location that is NOT along a service route, Buckwheat Express can deviate from its travel route up to ¾ of a mile. Please call Buckwheat Express the day before to reserve your off-route pick-up or to learn more about the flexible transit services that Buckwheat Express provides.
